I want to suggest a recipe of fancy-looking Marble Cake using Heritage Bundt pan from Nordic Ware. You can use just any Nordic ware bake pans Bundt. I’m using this one just because I fell in love with the swirl. I own several Nordic decorative pans. This is my newest Heritage Bundt pan. Easy to use, just follow the directions. I have found the quality of Nordic items to be the best! They keep coming up with great designs, and you just can’t help but collect them. Makes absolutely gorgeous cake Bundt, No need for decoration as it is lovely by itself.

Ingredients:

  • 300 g Room temperature Butter
  • 3/4 cup Sugar powder (if you don’t have it, you can use granulated sugar or make your own, put it in the blender/food processor for a few seconds!)
  • Vanilla Extract 1 tsp
  • Seven pieces Large Eggs (350g without shell), separate
  •  Cake Flour 200 g
  • Milk Powder 2 tbsp
  • Cocoa Powder 2 tbsp
  • Hot water 2 tbsp
  • Food Coloring (optional)
  • Butter and flour to coat the pan (I use PAM baking spray with flour)

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 338 °F (ca. 170 °C). Grease the Nordic ware bake pans with butter or sprays nonstick baking spray, and dust evenly with flour.

  • In a bowl, sift cake flour and milk powder and put them aside. In a small bowl, mix cocoa powder with hot water until becoming paste, and let it cool and set aside. Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla extract using paddle attachment with medium speed beat until the color turns pale and fluffy.

  • Beat egg yolk, one at a time, until smooth and incorporated. Then spoon dry ingredients (sifted flour and milk powder) in batches to the batter using (a very) low speed, do not over mix! It’s important.

  • Add 1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar to the egg whites. Whip egg whites until medium to stiff peaks. Gently fold 1/3 meringue into the batter until incorporated. Add the remaining until finished.

  • Divide batter in half, and mix with cocoa paste until evenly combined. Add food coloring at this stage if desired (optional).

  • Spooned to the pan alternately with chocolate and vanilla batters and swirl the batter using a skewer around the pan to make a marbled effect, once or twice.

  • Tap the Nordic ware bake pans on the counter to release trapped air bubbles inside. Bake for around 40-45 minutes in a preheated 338 °F (ca. 170 °C) oven, or test with a skewer if it comes out clean or not. If not, you can continue for another few minutes.
  • Let the cake cool for around 10 minutes before releasing it of Nordic ware bake pans. After 10 minutes, put a cake tray or cake stand and flip it. Gently tap the pan and take off the pan.
