Ideas for Halloween breakfast food
The Halloween breakfast food will serve your kid’s desire to rejoice all day. I think the older family members will love it too. After all, on this day, we love to fool around and eat deliciously. Pumpkin buns stuffed with apple and pumpkin are perfect for brunch or Halloween parties.

What about stuffed eggs with a spider made of olives? After all, these are eggs; who don’t love them? It is easy to prepare and children like the cooking process, letting the children show their imagination and participation preparing for the holiday. It’s always fun and uplifting for the whole day.

Last year, I was only allowed to bake pumpkin buns, and my husband and son prepared the snacks. As a result, our Halloween breakfast food menu included:
1. Smile of the Green Monster — Halloween breakfast food:

Ingredients:
- Apple — 1 piece
- Lemon juice
- Peanut paste
- Whole peanuts
Preparative:
- Let’s start with the most straightforward and most helpful. Cut one apple in half, cut out the middle, and then into slices that are not too thin. Choose apples according to your taste, if taking red ones will be even scarier.

- We put them all in a bowl and pour generously with lemon juice so as not to darken. We make peanut butter and smear each slice with peanut butter. And added the roasted whole peanuts or marshmallows, covering the other half. Ready!
2. Stuffed Eggs and Olive Spider:
By the way, you can decorate stuffed eggs with the same black olives, spiders, and any salad or even pizza Halloween breakfast food. It turns out that with a minimum of labor costs, a maximum of fear and taste comes out!

Ingredients:
- Four eggs
- Mayonnaise — 1 tbsp
- Vinegar — 1 tsp
- Mustard — 1 tsp
- Black pepper
- Smoked Paprika — to taste
- Black Olives
Preparative:
- Cut four hard-boiled eggs in half. We take out the yolk in a separate bowl, add mayonnaise — 1 large heaped tablespoon. One teaspoon of vinegar — I have rice, one teaspoon of mustard, freshly ground pepper. We do not put salt, there is salt in the mayonnaise, and that will be enough. If using sour cream, you can add salt. Mix, make a homogeneous texture, fill the proteins with the filling, sprinkling with smoked Paprika.

- For the spider, we need pitted black olives. We cut some of them in half and into slices. Well, a few pieces are just in halves. Half olives in the middle, two wedges on the sides, two back, two forward.
Tasty, I’ll tell you. Well, these are eggs; who doesn’t love them?

3. Halloween Caprese Salad:
Halloween Caprice salad differs from the standard version of the salad only in the presence of olives. And, of course, the form of presentation. Ciabatta will go well with the salad. Such an appetizer will be Halloween breakfast food. In addition, children themselves can cook monsters.

Ingredients:
- Mozzarella — 200 g (small balls of cheese)
- Tomatoes — 2-3 pieces
- Basil (leaves) — 8-10 pieces
- Olives (green and black) — 6-8 pieces
- Ground black pepper — to taste
- Olive oil — 2-3 tbsp
Preparative:
- Cut off the rounded barrels and the top of the olives with a knife in the center of the cut olive circle (a little “slanting”), pierce the process using a thick cocktail straw.

- Pierce the black olive with the same straw and save the “punctured” part. Insert the small dark amount (pupil) into the hole of the punctured green olive.

- Make as many eyes (a pair!) as you need. On a slice of tomato — two eyes. Put a basil leaf on a plate, on it — a circle of tomato, then a piece of Mozzarella cut in half (two halves) and on top — “eyes.” Drizzle with olive oil and pepper.
4. Halloween breakfast food — Pumpkin buns!
What to bake for Halloween? Pumpkin buns stuffed with pumpkin and apples are great for breakfast, brunch, or a party. They look beautiful and “creepy” tasty. It is easy to prepare.
Ingredients:

For the test:
- One egg
- 300 g pumpkin mashed
- One glass of warm milk
- 170 g sugar
- 800 – 850 g flour
- a pinch of salt
- 60 ml vegetable oil
- 10 g dry yeast
For filling:
- Pumpkin mashed — 300 g
- Three pieces of sweet apples
- Sugar 2 tsp
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
To lubricate the buns:
- One yolk
- One tablespoon milk
For decoration:
- Almonds
By step cooking:
1. I had 1/4 of a giant pumpkin unpeeled for about 1200 kg. We clean the pumpkin from skin and seeds, cut it into small squares to cook faster. Put the pumpkin to simmer in a skillet under the lid, add a little water, and simmer until it becomes very soft. Then we go through the blender and make mashed potatoes from the pumpkin. Divide into two parts (for dough and filling).

2. Peel the apples and cores, cut them into cubes, and in a frying pan — set to simmer and add a little water. Then, when apples become soft, add sugar to your taste and cinnamon. Then we remove and go through a little with a blender, but not until mashed potatoes, but so that pieces of apples remain a little. Mix pumpkin with apples 1:1 — this will be the filling (don’t do without apples because it’s just not too tasty with pumpkin).

3. Pour the yeast and a little sugar into warm milk, stir and let it swell.

4. Knead the dough in a mixer. I used a special spiral dough attachment. First, add pumpkin mashed, egg, salt, sugar, and mix everything well. Then pour yeast and milk into the mixture and continue to beat. Gradually add the sifted flour in 1-2 tablespoons. After we have already kneaded the dough, Halloween breakfast food pumpkin buns, add melted butter.

5. We take out the dough, mix a little and leave warm for 1 hour. (Use a dough blender or knead manually).

Forming and baking buns:
6. Knead the dough well and divide it into two parts with which we work, set aside the other — there will be two portions of buns.
We start working with the first one and divide it into 14-15 parts. One ball should be 60 grams, so they look the same. Roll out a ball and put the filling inside, and connect the dough well so that nothing flows out.

7. Before baking, take the threads, each 80 cm long, and soak them in the oil (this will make them easier to remove). Tie not very tight so as not to cut through the dough, tie a knot, and cut off the excess thread. When the buns are closed, we take the line and repeat the pattern like pumpkin slices.

8. We spread the finished buns on parchment, grease them with milk and yolk and send them to the oven for 17-20 minutes at 356 °F (180 °C), but watch when ready.

9. Then, we take out the buns’ Halloween breakfast food, let them cool, and then cautiously remove the threads. Make a hole in the middle and insert almonds or nuts to your liking.
All our buns are ready.

If any dough or filling is remaining, freeze to use another time.
Bon Appetit!

Notes
- Season the filling for the buns Halloween breakfast food to your liking, and the ratio of apples to pumpkin mashed. Add sugar to your preference, add a pinch of salt to balance the taste of the filling.
- You can garnish your buns with a sprig of mint instead of almonds or other herbs.
- Insert the eyes and make a mouth out of carnation buds, get a beautiful muzzle on a pumpkin.
- If you reduce sugar in the dough recipe and add a non-sweet filling, you will get an excellent, non-sweet snack.
- If there is any dough or filling remaining, simply freeze to use another time.
